These steps walk you through applying for, renewing, changing, or printing a Florida Officer Exemption. An exemption lasts 2 years and does not renew on its own, so the officer will need to renew it.   1. Go to https://www.myfloridacfo.com/division/wc/employer/exemptions.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the Apply/Renew section.
  3. Select the blue button for construction or non-construction, whichever matches your business.
  4. Read the information on the page if you like, then scroll down to the blue Apply or Renew button.
  5. Choose whether you want to Apply, Renew, Modify, or Print your Officer Exemption.
