5 Easy Steps: Apply for Officer Exemption

Please see the below steps on how to file/renew an Officer Exemption for Workers' Compensation.


Kindly note that Officer Exemptions expire after 2 years and must be renewed by the officer.

  1. Go to https://www.myfloridacfo.com/division/wc/employer/exemptions
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you will see a Apply/Renew section
  3. Select the applicable blue button, based on if your business is construction or non-construction.
  4. There is information to review if you'd like. To continue, scroll down to the blue Apply or Renew button.
  5. From there, you will be able to select wither you would like to Apply, Renew, Modify, or print your Officer Exemption.
